AC Type 1 | Mode 3

Type 1 5 Pin Charging Cable has a connector cable between the Charging Station and the Electric Vehicle with a Single-phase power output of 3.7kW-7.4kW. Type 1 5-pin plug is mostly used with American, Asian and Japanese vehicle models. Cable required to charge is a Type 1 to Type 2 cable.

Type 2 7 Pin Charging Cable is a connector cable between the Charging Station and the Electric Vehicle with Single & 3Phase power output level of 3.7kW to 22kW AC. Cable required to charge is Type 2 to Type 2 Cable.

Mobile Charging | Mode 2

Mode 2 3kw charging cable allows charging from a Domestic or Industrial power sockets with the ICCB (In-Cable Control Box) between the Vehicle and Charging Socket to provide communication and safety for charging. DC Rapid Charging | Mode 4

DC Fast Charging power goes directly to the battery. Charging times are dependent on the battery size, many vehicles are capable of achieving an 80% charge under an hour.

CCS (Combined Charging System)

The CCS Type 2 is an enhanced version of the AC Type 2 Standard, with two additional power contacts for the purposes of rapid charging, supporting both AC and DC charging power levels of up to 170 kW.

CHAdeMO plug

The CHAdeMO rapid charging system was developed in Japan, and allows for charging capacities up to 50 kW at the appropriate public charging stations.

Tesla Supercharger

Tesla Supercharger uses a modified version of the Type 2 plug. This allows for the Model S to recharge to 80% within 30 minutes. Tesla offers charging to its customers for free and to date it has not been possible for other vehicle models to be charged with a Tesla Superchargers.
